Festival sponsor, Gallatin River Guides, will kick off the event with the annual Pesca Fiesta featuring deals on gear, cheap food, and free beer at their shop.

Hooked on the Gallatin Banquet

Friday, June 29th, 6 PM | Gallatin RiverHouse Grill

Delicious barbecue, wine by Natalie’s Estate Winery, live acoustic music, and a live and silent auction to benefit the Task Force on the banks of the Gallatin River.

Saturday

Outdoor Fair, featuring the Montana Distiller’s Guild Tasting Garden and Music by TBD

Saturday, June 30th, 4 to 9 PM | Big Sky Town Center Park

Celebrate clean, cold water and healthy fisheries at the Outdoor Fair. New this year! The Montana Distiller’s Guild has partnered with the Festival and will be hosting a Tasting Garden. After all, clean, cold Montana water is a key ingredient in their tasty spirits, and if fish won’t live in it, why would we drink it? And there is much more! Activities include product demonstrations, a casting pond with clinics by Master Casting Instructor, Dok Arvanites, casting competitions, fly tying, kid’s activities, conservation booths, and a dunk tank. The night will culminate with live music by TBD, starting at 6pm.

Great Gallatin Pedal, Paddle, Run-Off

The Pedal, Paddle, Run-Off is a race for a healthy Gallatin River! Get a team of 3 (or more) together to bike, boat, and run to, in, and from the Gallatin River.

The Great Gallatin Guide-Off pairs master fly fishing guides with people who want to have a good time, catch fish, and support a healthy Gallatin River for future generations!

Hooked on the Gallatin: Youth Fly Fishing Camp

Tuesday to Thursday, July 10th to 12th | Big Sky Community Park and Kircher Park:

The Hooked on the Gallatin: Youth Fly Fishing Camp will inspire a lifelong passion for fly fishing and river conservation. Local fly guides will teach essential fly fishing skills including knot tying, fly tying, casting, reading the water, fish handling etiquette, and safe wading techniques. Gallatin River Task Force staff will emphasize river conservation by leading activities focused on entomology, native fish species, catch & release principles, leave no trace ethics, and trout habitat.
